Who We Are Print E-mail

The Safer Northumberland Partnership was created in the summer of 2009 with a single mission: to work together, in partnership, to make the county of Northumberland a safer and more desirable place to live. Key partners include Northumberland County Council, Northumbria Police, Northumbria Police Authority, Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service, Northumbria Probation Service and Northumberland Care Trust, as well as a variety of voluntary sector organisations involved in great work throughout the county. Northumberland  is already one of the most attractive places in the UK and has an excellent reputation both for partnership working and for crime reduction. Safer Northumberland’s aim is to build on this platform to further improve the quality of life in Northumberland.

This website is an opportunity for you to get involved. Navigate around easily to learn how you can tell us what you think and how you can help us to make your community a safer place. It is also a resource. Here you can find important contact information for all of our partners and all of our initiatives. You will probably be surprised by the range of things that we do. No matter what your age, it is guaranteed that there will be something for you, and you will be able to contribute somehow. Please do. This county belongs to you, and we work on your behalf. If you like what we do, tell us. If you don’t, tell us that, too. The important thing is that you involve yourself in the process. This website will tell you how.
